Cheers to the Season!

If you’re looking for Christmas spirit, there is no shortage of events and activities in the Low Country. We attended the Old Village Holiday Street Fest on Thursday night. Pitt Street was transformed with strands of Edison light bulbs, cafe tables and comfy living room seating arrangements moved out to the sidewalk. We sipped wine, noshed on mac and cheese and perused the boutique vendors while listening to the Low Hills perform.

Our pals in Hamlin Plantation invited us to their community Christmas party at their clubhouse. It’s a catered BYOB blast with live music. One quickly realizes that socializing in Charleston is an endurance sport. Pacing, hydration and rest are critical.

On Sunday, I attended Wine Under the Oaks at Boone Hall Plantation with friends from Rivertowne.

We were greeted by this little guy from the Center for Birds of Prey in Awendaw. I’m putting that on my list of places to visit.

There were dozens of wines to try and delicious food from Charleston-area restaurants.

There was even a blanket of white. It was just cotton instead of snow. It’s nice to stroll around outside in December.

Check out my Facebook page for fun upcoming events!
