We hit The Dingy for dinner after a Sunday sunset walk on Isle of Palms beach yesterday. It just so happened our uber talented friend Dave Landeo was the musical guest. Bonus! The Charleston music scene doesn’t get a lot of national attention but it’s a treasure we locals sure enjoy.
Two young women showed up with instruments in hand and Dave graciously invited them to join him for some on-stage spontaneity. Wow! The surprise musical collaboration was a crowd pleaser to say the least.
The fiddle is always fun and these gals are good. The extend of my country music exposure growing up was via the Donny & Marie show. Very lacking to be sure. But starting with an amazing Dolly Parton concert here at the Coliseum, I’ve grown to really appreciate it.
Here in the Lowcountry, we put the sun into Sundays and music into the nights. Let’s love on our favorite local artists and venues in the comments below.
